Cheryl Erwin is a licensed marriage and family therapist, a parent and teacher coach, and a Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer. She is also the author or co-author of numerous books and resources, including “Positive Discipline For Preschoolers,” “Positive Discipline: the First Three Years,” “Positive Discipline for Single Parents,” the “Positive Discipline for Early Childhood Educators” training manual, and "Reconnecting: Positive Discipline Skills to Support Social and Emotional Development in Young Children Affected by COVID-19,” to be published this spring in the Journal of Individual Psychology. Cheryl has taught in China, Latin America, Europe, Egypt, and all across the USA, and worked with early childhood educators in Melbourne, Australia, more than a decade ago. Cheryl has also worked as the Mental Health Consultant and “family coach” for Early Head Start, a federal program providing childcare and education to qualifying families with children from birth to age three, at the University of Nevada, Reno. Cheryl is married, has one adult son, and the two most remarkable grandchildren on the planet.
