Montessori lesson planning for 6-12 educators.
An effective Montessori teacher is able to be spontaneous and “follow the child” as they are guided by observation. However without effective and efficient planning teachers can sometimes find themselves going around in circles, and children and more challenging parts of the curriculum may slip through the cracks. Keeping the curriculum and your students’ place in the sequence straight in your head is part of preparing your environment and a good system can help you relax and be present with students. In this workshop for new and seasoned teachers, Naomi and Mark will share their experience in planning a weekly lesson schedule and collecting the evidence you will need to keep it responsive to students’ needs.
